What We Do With
What You Send Us.

You send us claim documents, so you are entitled to a straight answer about where they go. This page is that answer, written the same way we would tell you on the phone. No legal padding, no promises we do not keep.

What we collect

We collect what you type into our forms, and nothing you did not type. There are three of them and they ask for slightly different things.

  • The contact form on the home page: your name, company name, email address, phone number, the kind of business you run, the kind of estimate you are after, and whatever you write in the message box.
  • The free supplement form: your name, company name, email address, phone number, business address, any notes you add, and the files you attach. Those are normally the carrier estimate and a roof measurement report.
  • The order form: your name, company name, email address, phone number, the property address for each job, and the measurement report you upload for it.

The documents you send are claim documents, so they often contain a homeowner name and a property address that are not yours. We treat those the same way we treat your own information.

What we do with it

We use it to do the work you asked for. That means reading the claim, writing the estimate or supplement, sending it back to you, and following up with you about that file. If you send us a file, expect us to contact you about it.

Form submissions arrive as email in our own inbox. There is no customer database behind this website, and nothing you submit is written to a storage system on the server. Uploaded files travel attached to that email.

What we do not do with it

  • We do not sell your information. Not to anyone, not ever.
  • We do not rent, trade, or share your contact details with other companies looking for roofing leads.
  • We do not feed what you send us into advertising networks or retargeting audiences.
  • We do not send marketing email to an address just because it came through a form. If we email you, it is about your file.

The technical bits, stated plainly

A few things happen automatically and you should know about them rather than find out later.

  • Your IP address is used briefly to stop the same machine from submitting a form dozens of times in a row. It is used for that rate check and is not attached to your file or used to profile you.
  • Submissions our filters classify as spam are written to a private log so we can tell whether the filter is working and, more importantly, whether it is wrongly blocking real people. That log sits outside the public website and is not reachable from the internet.
  • Google Analytics runs on this site and tells us which pages get read and roughly where visitors come from. It is measurement of pages, not identification of people, and it is not connected to anything you submit.
  • Payments for orders are handled by Stripe on their own hosted page. Your card details are entered on Stripe, not here, and they never reach our server. We pass Stripe your email address so they can send you a receipt.
  • Automated spam protection may be used on our forms. Where it is, the check runs against the submission itself.

How long we keep it

Your file lives in our email for as long as it is useful to the work. Claim files have long tails, and an estimate from last season is frequently the thing that answers a question this season, so we do not delete correspondence on a timer.
